If you submit our contact form, we collect:

  • The type of work you're interested in (short-form, long-form, or AI creative)

We use this solely to respond to your inquiry and discuss potential work together. We don't sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for marketing purposes.

You can also contact us by email directly. In that case, we receive whatever information you choose to put in your email.

  1. When you apply for a job with us

On our case studies page, we embed Calendly to let you schedule a call directly. When you book a time, we collect:

  • Your name

  • Your email address

  • Any additional details you choose to share in the text box

This information is used solely to confirm your meeting, send you calendar invitations, and prepare for our conversation. The booking details automatically sync to our Google Workspace calendar so we don't miss your call.

Job applications are submitted through Google Forms. When you apply, we collect the information you provide in that form, which may include:

  • Your name and contact information

  • Your resume or CV

  • Portfolio links or work samples

  • Any other details you choose to share

We use this solely to evaluate your application, communicate with you about it, and consider you for current or future roles.


  1. When you visit our website

We use Framer Analytics to understand how people find and use our site. This collects aggregate, non-identifying information such as page views, referring sites, and general geographic region (country-level). It does not identify you personally and does not use tracking cookies.

Third parties who handle your data

We're a small team and we use tools built by other companies. The ones that touch your personal information are:

Google Workspace

What it handles: Our email: any message you send us, and meeting booking details synced from Calendly
Where data is stored: Google servers, which may be located outside of Canada, including in the United States of America

Calendly

What it handles: Meeting bookings including your name, email, and any notes you provide
Where data is stored: Calendly servers, which may be located outside Canada

Slack

What it handles: Internal notifications containing basic application details and a link to your summary document
Where data is stored: Slack servers, which may be located outside Canada, including in the United States

What it handles: Job application submissions
Where data is stored: Google servers, which may be located outside of Canada, including in the United States of America.


Framer

What it handles: Website hosting and analytics
Where data is stored: Framer's servers

Because these providers may store data outside of Canada, your information may be subject to the laws of other jurisdictions, including lawful access requests by foreign authorities. By using our contact form or applying for a role, you acknowledge this transfer.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

How long we keep it

Contact form and email inquiries: We keep these for as long as needed to respond to you and, if we work together, for the duration of our business relationship plus any period required for business or tax records.

Meeting bookings via Calendly: We retain booking information for as long as needed to prepare for and conduct the meeting, plus any period required for business records. After the meeting, you can request that we delete your booking details from Calendly and our calendar.


Job applications: We retain applicant information for 24 months from the date of submission, so we can consider you for future roles. After that, it is deleted. If you'd like your information removed sooner, just ask.


Analytics data: Aggregate and non-identifying, retained per Framer's standard retention.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you

  • Correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete

  • Withdraw consent and ask us to delete your information

  • Ask questions about how your information is being handled

To make any of these requests, email info@orangeleaf.ca. We'll respond within 30 days.

Note that if you ask us to delete your information while we're in the middle of a project together, we may need to retain certain records to meet legal or business obligations. We'll tell you if that's the case.

Cookies

Our site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Framer may set essential cookies required for the site to function properly. When you use the Calendly booking widget, Calendly may set necessary and optional cookies. See Calendly's privacy policy for details on their cookie practices.

Children's privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are under the age of 16, please do not use or submit any Personal Information through our Website. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide Personal Information through the Website without parental permission. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 16 has provided Personal Information to us through the Website, please contact us at info@orangeleaf.ca, and we will use reasonable efforts to delete that information.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including using reputable service providers and limiting access to the people on our team who need it. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business or the tools we use change. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
